So I just started watching yugioh again since last week and boy was I surprised. They have a new series!!! And it's called Yugioh 5D's. I thought the stint with Yugioh GX was gonna seal it for Kazuki Takahashi already.

But wait, it gets better. Now they play duel monster...while riding racer bike.

And they are actually GOOD!! I mean GOOD! The plot is moving quite nicely and characters are gradually fleshing out. The lead character, Fudou Yusei, is quite unique too. At first, I thought he was gonna be a taller Yugi with a different hairdo but after a few episode I had to change my mind. Yusei is much different from Yami Yugi (contrary to all the character profiles out there that they says he's similar to Yugi). Yusei is much calmer, leass cocky, more stable and he wipes the floor with security guards ...in fist fight (not duel, u hear me). I guess it's kinda hard to describe it but....just go watch the series and u'll know what I mean.

Going to ep 24, my god....tentacle thing...stuff. I guess the writer is taking a U-turn back to the 'darker and edgier' (and more perverted) origin of Yugioh (Yugioh zero, or Toei's Yugioh). By the time I reach there, I'm in love.

Then there's the whole get-to-her-heart thing between Yusei and Aki. My...

And the bikes...the bikes...that just scratch the spot for me. I've always had a thing for bikes (not necessarily biker though). I think I'm gonna buy one once I earn enough money from my part-time jobs. And seeing that I'm all hyped up with 5D's, I think i'm gonna paint it red too.
